Skillet cornbread recipe with ingredients and instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Place the cast-iron skillet inside with the vegetable oil so it heats up well.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. Prepare Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the milk and melted butter until smooth.
4. Combine the Batter
Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
