FIFA President Gianni Infantino has urged critics to “chill and relax” in response to the backlash his organisation have faced. He spoke on several topics at a press conference on Wednesday which saw him claim that he would have driven the Iranian national team bus from Tehran to the United States in order to get them to the World Cup.
Elsewhere, Donald Trump is reportedly not planning to attend the USMNT’s first World Cup fixture against Paraguay on Friday in Los Angeles. A press release from the State Department confirmed that Secretary of State Marco Rubio, along with Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy and Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin will be attending.
